About the Role

We’re looking for ahands-on Data Center Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You’ll manage our mobile test labs and server environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability of critical infrastructure used for continuous integration and test automation workflows. You will be at the heart of keeping our testing infrastructure online, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of mobile device test labs and physical servers
• Install, rack, and configure devices including Android, iOS, Linux/Windows servers, Acroname USB hubs, and networking equipment
• Monitor lab infrastructure for uptime, power, temperature, and capacity planning
• Troubleshoot device and hardware failures using OOB tools (iDRAC, iLO, IPMI)
• Provision Linux systems using PXE Boot, Jenkins, or custom imaging tools
• Collaborate closely with Dev Ops, QA, and Product teams for infrastructure readiness
• Maintain structured cabling, asset tagging, and inventory tracking of lab devices
• Support remote testing environments by ensuring network stability and device connectivity
• Respond to alerts and critical outages with root cause analysis and timely resolutions
• Participate in an on-call rotation for high-priority system issues

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of experience in managing lab and data center infrastructure
• Strong hands-on skills in Linux system administration and shell scripting (Bash)
• Experience with provisioning tools (PXE Boot, Cobbler, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with Android Toolchain (ADB, fastboot), iOS/Xcode tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Nagios, Splunk, New Relic, or Service Now
• Solid understanding of structured cabling and power/cooling best practices
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-availability environment

Good to Have

• Experience working in R&D labs with next-gen mobile/IoT/AR/VR devices
• Exposure to automation infrastructure at scale (Meta, Google, Apple labs is a plus)
• Red Hat Linux or equivalent certifications
• Knowledge of networking basics, switch/router configs
