The Role Responsibilities
  • Client Team Integration
  • Act as an active member of the GNP technical team under a Staff Augmentation model.
  • Align with client processes, tools, and standards.
  • Participate in operational meetings, planning sessions, and follow-ups.
  • Application Support & Maintenance
  • Provide technical support for Mainframe-based applications.
  • Handle incidents and service requests effectively.
  • Ensure the stability and continuity of mission-critical systems.
  • Mainframe Development
  • Develop and maintain COBOL programs.
  • Create and update batch processes using JCL.
  • Implement enhancements and fixes in existing applications.
  • Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting
  • Analyze failures in batch and online processes (CICS).
  • Perform transaction tracing and log analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity within DB2 environments.
  • Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with technical, functional, and business teams.
  • Escalate critical issues when needed.
  • Participate in regular operational follow-ups.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Document developments, incidents, and solutions.
  • Keep technical documentation up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and IT governance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and system performance.
  • Propose enhancements to increase stability and efficiency.
Who You Are Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills (Must Have)
  • COBOL (development and maintenance)
  • JCL (batch processing)
  • DB2 / SQL
  • CICS (online transaction processing)
  • IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
Nice to Have
  • Java Front-End (for end-to-end traceability)
  • Monitoring and job scheduling tools
Additional Knowledge
  • Experience in AMS or production support environments
  • Ticketing tools (Service Now, Jira)
  • ITIL framework (nice to have)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • +3 years of experience in COBOL Mainframe environments
  • Experience in production support for critical systems
  • Basic English (technical reading)

    Remote (with occasional onsite visits if required)
  • Schedule:

    Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Availability for additional support windows if needed
