A well-established, publicly traded Japanese technology company with a growing presence in the semiconductor industry is seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator for its Santa Clara, California operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys taking ownership of a broad technology environment rather than focusing on just one area. You will work across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra , networking, endpoint security, IT infrastructure, and compliance
, while collaborating with both U.S. operations and global headquarters.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who can troubleshoot complex issues, manage infrastructure projects, work with vendors, and support a growing organization.
What You'll Do- Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and File/Print Services
- Manage Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra , Intune, MFA, and Conditional Access
- Maintain and troubleshoot corporate network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, VLANs, and Wi-Fi
- Manage endpoint security, patching, EDR/antivirus, and other cybersecurity initiatives
- Provide advanced technical support for users across multiple locations
- Manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices, software licenses, warranties, and the complete IT asset lifecycle
- Coordinate system upgrades, office moves, new office setups, and infrastructure projects
- Work directly with technology vendors to troubleshoot issues and evaluate new solutions
- Support backup and recovery activities
- Maintain IT security policies and provide security training to employees
- Support internal and SOX audits, including ITGC documentation and compliance testing
- Collaborate with headquarters and other global offices on IT projects and initiatives
- 5–10 years of hands-on IT administration experience
- Solid server and network infrastructure experience
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra
- Experience with Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM)
- Working knowledge of firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems, and networks
- Experience with endpoint security and patch management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to independently prioritize projects and take ownership of IT issues
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, semiconductor, or technology environment
- ITGC or SOX audit support experience
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience working with international or global teams
