We are looking for a Data Center Sourcing Manager to help identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure data center capacity for SourceM3D deployments.
About the RoleThe Data Center Sourcing Manager will own data center capacity sourcing and commercial negotiations across SourceM3D's infrastructure pipeline.
This position requires an understanding of both the commercial and technical requirements associated with AI and HPC infrastructure.
You will work closely with data center operators, developers, utilities, brokers, carriers, infrastructure partners, and internal engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Source available and upcoming data center capacity across key U.S. and international markets.
- Develop relationships with colocation operators, data center developers, utilities, brokers, carriers, and infrastructure providers.
- Source capacity for deployments ranging from individual GPU clusters to multi-megawatt environments.
- Maintain an internal database of available capacity, future developments, expansion opportunities, and market intelligence.
- Evaluate facilities based on:
- Available power capacity
- Power delivery timeline
- Rack density
- Liquid cooling capability
- CDU infrastructure
- Facility redundancy
- Carrier availability
- Fiber connectivity
- Security
- Loading and receiving capabilities
- AI/HPC suitability
- Work with engineering teams to qualify facilities technically.
- Negotiate LOIs, colocation agreements, capacity reservations, and power commitments.
- Analyze $/kW economics and total deployment costs.
- Evaluate installation fees, power pass-through, cross-connect fees, remote hands, deposits, and escalation structures.
- Negotiate expansion rights and future capacity options.
- Coordinate site surveys and technical diligence.
- Track construction, power readiness, cooling readiness, and commissioning milestones.
- Transition secured sites into deployment and operations.
- Track broader market trends including data center development, utility constraints, power pricing, and capacity availability.
- 5+ years of experience in data center sourcing, colocation, site selection, infrastructure procurement, data center development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data center commercial structures and economics.
- Experience negotiating colocation or infrastructure agreements.
- Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for facility evaluations and site visits.
- Existing relationships with major colocation providers and data center developers.
- Experience sourcing 1MW+ deployments.
- Experience with AI, HPC, or high‑density infrastructure.
- Understanding of liquid cooling and direct‑to‑chip cooling.
- Familiarity with utility power, substations, UPS systems, generators, and redundancy architectures.
- Understanding of carrier connectivity and fiber infrastructure.
- Experience securing capacity before facility Ready‑for‑Service dates.
