We’re working with a high-growth payments technology company whose platform sits underneath some of the world’s leading banks, fintechs and merchants.

They’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure that powers a highly available, high-throughput payments platform.

This is a heavily infrastructure-focused role, with an approximate 80% focus on Infrastructure and 20% on Dev Ops/CI/CD.

You’ll work on complex problems around cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability and reliability in an environment where infrastructure performance directly impacts customers and revenue.

• Design, build and evolve highly available, scalable infrastructure across AWS.
• Own and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Work across AWS infrastructure, networking, security and cloud architecture.
• Design infrastructure capable of supporting high-scale, high-throughput and highly available systems.
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions across the platform.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD and Dev Ops processes, with an approximate 80/20 Infrastructure-to-Dev Ops split.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment and operational processes.
• Improve the reliability, scalability and security of production infrastructure.

• Strong commercial experience in Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong AWS experience across infrastructure, networking, security and architecture.
• Excellent Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and security.
• Experience designing and operating high-scale, high-throughput and highly available environments.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Experience working in production-critical environments where reliability is essential.
• Experience with in a product-led technology company is preferred, with startup/scale-up experience particularly valuable.
