Associate or AVP Underwriting Manager, Middle Markets

• Manage a team of skilled Property & Casualty production Underwriters
• Cultivate key broker relationships through marketplace visibility and travel as necessary
• Drive an engaging team culture with a strong focus on staff development and sales execution
• Oversee underwriting processes and ensure alignment with the employer's strategic objectives
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in underwriting and market-facing activities

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area, or 10 years in Claims or Underwriting Support
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and relevant experience in Underwriting or Claims
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• For AVP level: 7 or more years of experience in Underwriting or 14 years in Claims or Underwriting Support, plus 2 or more years of management experience
• Strong technical, staff development, and sales execution mindset

• Bachelor’s Degree
• CPCU certification
• Advanced knowledge of product lines and the insurance industry
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
