Certified Deaf Interpreter

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider that connects bilingual and multilingual individuals with potential opportunities to serve as a freelance interpreter or translator. Our mission is to bridge the communication gap for those in need through excellent and compassionate language services.

We are looking for freelance ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters to work as 1099 Independent Contractors. As an interpreter, you make a positive contribution to society by providing language access for everyone, regardless of their proficiency with the English language. As an independent contractor, you act as your own boss, set your availability, and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need.

Interpreter rates vary depending on availability, experience, and demand.

• Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language)
• Be willing to complete an ASL assessment as a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions can be made with proven work history and certifications)
• Complete all required documents in a timely manner
• Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship offered)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Our Recruitment team will connect with you to schedule a preliminary interview.
• If you meet the baseline requirements, you'll complete a skills assessment and background check.
• Qualified interpreters will be invited to complete the onboarding process to join the linguist network.
