  • Bidirectional translation between English and the original language(s)
    • Oral
    • Reading
    • Writing
  • Have personal, secure computer and web access
  • Ability to create audio recordings
  • Ability to use Google account and tools
  • Ability to use Canva application to manipulate and edit graphics and text
  • Provide own transportation
  • Knowledge of language specific community’s common gathering places in Santa Clara County

The translator will manage and work from an assigned language specific Google account upon signing of a contract agreement, including a language specific Canva account utilized to create/edit flyers and social media visuals for posting.

MOST DOCUMENTS ARE ALREADY 80%-90% TRANSLATED, AND WILL ONLY REQUIRE EDITS AND MINOR REVISIONS.

THE MOST COMPLICATED PART IS CREATION OF 16-17 SHORT AUDIO RECORDINGS TO BE USED IN A VIDEO.

Other Tasks

Perform outreach and distribute/post flyers in places where the specific language community gathers, including but not limited to physical locations, social media, websites, and traditional media.

Provide live interpretation support to native language speakers via telephone (scheduled as needed) and on Citizenship Day (May 16, 2026).
