Beacon Hill's client, a financial services company, is seeking a Lending Regulatory Counsel to support their legal and compliance team.

  • Location: Remote
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months, with possible extension
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Pay: $100-$120/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications
  • JD required and active bar membership in good standing with the Bar of the attorney's resident state and/or the California Bar or New York Bar
  • 6+ years of experience at a law firm (with lending advisory experience), financial services regulatory agency, bank partnership experience, or in‑house experience
  • Experience with Fin Tech, lending, and bank partnership relationships.
  • High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide legal and regulatory advice on our products to members of the Counsel team and business partners on consumer protection laws, including Reg E, Reg Z, Reg B, Fair Lending, and state lending licensing regulations
  • Act as a subject matter expert for card products and model risk management.
  • Advise on legal, regulatory, and industry requirements for consumer and commercial lending and related financial services activities
  • Summarize and analyze impact of new applicable rules and regulations
