Litigation Associate – Business Litigation

Role Summary

Our client, a well-established multi-service law firm with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area
, is seeking a Litigation Associate with at least five years of business litigation experience
. The role involves supporting complex litigation matters, drafting key legal filings, and participating in hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who wants to develop a long-term practice within a collaborative midsize firm environment while taking on meaningful responsibility for client matters and litigation strategy.

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advisement.

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and other litigation-related documents.

• Assist with case preparation for hearings, settlement negotiations, and trials

• Manage aspects of client matters while working under the supervision of senior attorneys.

• Contribute to effective litigation strategy through strong research, writing, and analytical work.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

• Minimum of 5 years of business litigation experience in private practice.

• Strong working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code

• Experience handling client matters with increasing responsibility

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Interest in building a long-term career within a mid-sized law firm environment

• Base Salary: $145,000 – $165,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)

Attorneys may be based in the firm’s San Jose (Silicon Valley) or Pleasanton (Tri-Valley) offices
, with occasional travel between locations as needed.
