Role Summary
Our client, a well-established multi-service law firm with a strong presence in the San Francisco Bay Area
, is seeking a Senior Employment Law Attorney to join its Employment Law practice. This role involves advising employers on a broad range of employment law issues and representing clients in complex employment litigation matters.
The position requires substantial experience defending employers in matters involving discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, class actions, and representative actions
, as well as handling trade secret and unfair competition matters. The attorney will also play a leadership role in mentoring associates and contributing to the growth of the firm’s employment law practice through business development and client relationship management.
Provide legal counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of employment law matters.
Defend clients in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and related employment disputes.
Handle class actions and representative employment claims under California employment statutes.
Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and administrative hearings before federal and state agencies.
Manage matters involving trade secret protection and unfair competition claims
.Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
Contribute to business development efforts
, including maintaining and expanding a portable book of business.Present employment law trainings and seminars for clients.
Supervise and mentor associates within the employment law practice.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the State Bar of California.
Minimum of 8 years of employment law litigation experience.
Demonstrated experience handling complex employment disputes
, including discrimination and wage and hour matters.Experience representing clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings
.Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and client advisory skills
.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented legal environment
.Ability to bring at least a partial portable book of business
.
Experience advising and counseling employers across the full spectrum of employment law issues
.Prior experience at a large national law firm or reputable regional/midsize firm
.Experience with matters involving:
Employment discrimination and retaliation claims under federal and state law
Wage and hour disputes and related litigation
Class and representative employment actions
Trade secret and unfair competition claims
Leadership experience supervising junior attorneys or mentoring associates.
Base Salary: $225,000 – $275,000 annually
Incentive Compensation: Approximately 10%–20% of collected fees
Equity: Competitive equity opportunities may be available

Attorneys may be based in any of the firm’s Bay Area offices
