Manager, Supply Chain – Sony Biotechnology, Inc.

San Jose, CA

Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of supervisors and analysts to manage the supply chain portion of the Quality Management System, including creation, revision, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Develop and execute end‑to‑end supply chain strategies to support forecasting, procurement, and inventory control for research flow cytometry instruments and products.
  • Use Microsoft Access, Visio, Power BI, Power Automate, Salesforce API, Terraform, and Smartsheet to manage and analyze supply chain data.
  • Create material supply plans that ensure availability of supplies for specialized requirements from multiple business functions.
  • Analyze business data and generate supply chain visualizations to present changing dynamics of supply chain performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Automate and optimize supply chain workflows using Python, Excel macros, RPA tools, and by creating functional specifications and test plans.
  • Manage part master data and build trade compliance documentation portfolios, including HTS codes and Country of Origin Certificates, to support import and export operations.
  • Support SOP documentation related to supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and logistics procedures for the Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support prototype readiness and operational alignment.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience). The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience developing and executing supply chain strategies for specialized research products.
  • Proficiency with data‑analysis and workflow‑automation tools such as Python, RPA, and Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of trade compliance, including HTS codes and country of origin documentation.
