Position Summary
Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials rendered outside the place of business. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on progress.
Essential Duties and Functions- Schedule or dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications or needs using radios or telephones.
- Confer with customer or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment.
- Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Receive or prepare work orders.
- Relay work order, messages, or information to or from work crews using telephones or two-way radios.
- Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information.
- Prepare daily work and run schedule.
- Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work order or specifications.
- Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions or other hazards.
- Order supplies or equipment and issue to personnel.
- Attend meetings as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Competent with Microsoft Teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to foster teamwork.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Physical Requirements
- Assures that safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Follows policies and procedures including infection control, universal precautions and exposure control plans when performing daily tasks.
- Reports hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching in the office setting.
- Could have exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, or chemicals in the office setting.
- Annual Cleared Labor and equipment: A bonus of $500 will be earned if the branch has no incidences of dispatched uncleared labor or equipment reported.
- Paperwork: A bonus of $500 will be earned if appropriate by job type paperwork is provided to teams daily and collected within 24 hours of service date, measured by delinquent billing caused by late or incorrect paperwork.
- Arrivy Usage: A bonus of $500 will be earned if Arrivy usage is at 75% or better for the branch.
