Job ResponsibilitiesMajor Responsibilities:
- Opening trailer, surveying supplies and trailer capacity, reporting the number and type of large items requiring truck pickup and placing status call at designated time.
- Greeting donors. Following guidelines, tactfully accept or reject donated items, based on established criteria, and give explanation as to decision.
- Offers donor a receipt. Issues a receipt, records time and nature of donation on daily record sheet.
- Accepts CRV recycle material
- Counts and tracks recycle material received and provides rebate voucher to customer
- Maintains accurate records of recycling transactions, including accountability and reconciliation of recycle vouchers.
- Sorts and stacks donations into designated containers, ensuring items are wrapped and/or packed to prevent damage or a safety hazard.
- Maintains a clean/neat trailer both inside/outside.
- Closing and securing trailers at designated times.
- Places large and/or heavy-duty items next to or under trailers.
- Follows and enforces all company procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working conditions
- The activity level will fluctuate depending on factors including locations. The job is performed inside and outside of trailer with exposure to weather, noise from traffic, dust/dirt other air borne particles, fumes and odors. The ground around the trailer may be uneven.
- The trailer stands approximately four feet up from ground and requires climbing a set of steps. Separating household chemicals from regular donations may occur.
Physical Demands:
- Medium work demands lifting 50
Ibs with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25
Ibs. - On occasion (11-30% of the time) the work will involve lifting up to 75lbs. Large and/or heavy boxed items are either divided into smaller, lighter weight boxes (when possible) for ease of handling, or pushed under or near the trailer. Large and/or heavy furniture/appliances are pushed (when possible) next to the trailer.
- Attendant will assist with loading of large items on truck during Goodwill site servicing.
- When requested, will drive to all donation sites to complete daily operational assignment.
- Normal or corrected talking, hearing, and seeing abilities are sufficient to perform required tasks.
- Mobility to climb up/down steps and walk on uneven ground.
