New Product Development Project Manager (Technical)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to lead end-to-end product development initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment across cross‑functional teams, and driving innovative product solutions that improve customer operations and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the complete project lifecycle, proactively identifying and mitigating schedule, technical, market, and resource risks
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans utilizing structured stage‑gate methodologies combined with Agile practices
- Track and report key performance metrics including project velocity, budget alignment, and time‑to‑market
- Communicate project status, milestone progress, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders
- Facilitate daily stand‑ups, design reviews, and major milestone meetings
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, sales, test & evaluation, global supply chain, materials, R&D, and simulation
- Promote strong cross‑functional collaboration and accountability
- Support short‑ and long‑term capacity planning initiatives
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 2+ years of project management experience, or
- 5+ years of technical project management experience
- Demonstrated success in a project management or technical leadership role
- Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments
- Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills
Preferred
- 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in industrial equipment, manufacturing, or controls
- CAPM, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
- Experience with Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies
- Background in New Product Development or similar technical environments
