About the PositionThe Project Director is responsible for providing overall strategies, leadership, and management of multiple, less complex regional or national projects from start to finish, including staffing, managing project budget, scheduling, quality control, problem resolution, job coordination and communication, job invoicing/payments and client satisfaction activities. This position has responsibility for business development, job solicitation and project negotiations, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.

- Partners with senior leadership to create key functional strategies, critical objectives, and decisions affecting the business unit and functional work group. Conducts high-quality business development, creates key customer relationships, and performs job solicitation in the marketplace.
- Creates project execution strategies and directs all phases and activities of the project to achieve high quality and productivity in the work performed. Ensures all construction contracts are fulfilled to the customer’s satisfaction and the Company has earned a fair profit.
- Plans, implements, independently manages, and maintains project activities to optimize the efficiency of labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools. Ensures all plans and specifications identify project scope and milestones and share them with all appropriate parties.
- Provides frequent management oversight and problem resolution. Communicates directly with project team members, contractors, and designers concerning project costs, staffing, and scheduling. Manages timely and accurate project documents, estimates, projections, material release schedules, client information, purchase orders, monthly invoices, payments, closeout documents, warranties, drawings, specification logs, maintenance manuals, final billings, change orders, and other related documents related to construction projects.
- Builds strategic and effective relationships with clients and future clients, foremen, project teams, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups, and others that reflect and support the Company’s core values and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Provides regular and high-quality hiring, communications, mentoring, coaching, problem-solving, and training to staff and other co-workers at all levels as needed. Advises and coaches employees and provides performance feedback regularly.
- Creates and manages an annual financial budget and maintains some level of responsibility for Company wide financials. Stays informed of new and changing Company procedures, policies, materials, technologies, techniques, and practices. Establishes, trains, and maintains policies and processes.
