PCB Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (Relocation Assistance Provided)
Responsibilities- Scope: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a team of maintenance technicians with skill levels ranging from entry-level to highly experienced. This role ensures all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies and operational goals.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall team performance.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure maintenance objectives are met.
- Preventative Maintenance
- Ensure all preventative maintenance (PM) activities are completed thoroughly, accurately, and on schedule.
- Review PM records and adjust schedules or procedures as needed to improve equipment reliability.
- Safety & Compliance
- The supervisor will be exposed to chemicals and hazardous materials and will participate in chemical handling training and continued safety trainings.
- Enforce all company, departmental, and site policies—especially those related to safety.
- Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety-first culture in all maintenance operations.
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair down, malfunctioning, or underperforming equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Support technicians in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.
- Equipment Upgrades & Projects
- Design, plan, and implement equipment upgrades in coordination with Facilities, the Maintenance Manager, and/or Engineering.
- Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing processes.
- Inventory & Procurement
- Order, track, and maintain parts and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory levels to support efficient repair and preventative maintenance operations.
- General Expectations
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, reliability, and safety.

Essential Knowledge and Skills- Ability to lead a team with varying levels of experience, from entry-level to career experts
- Capable of creating well-defined training plans with clear and measurable milestones and goals
- Ability to balance long- and short-term goals for a maintenance team
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain control circuits, electrical components, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to correctly and safely use basic hand power tools
- Ability to safely work around hazardous chemicals
- Strong attention-to-detail and capable of reading and following technical instructions, operation manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- General computer skills and ability to complete electronic work orders, enter data into systems, order parts, and familiarity with or ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A computer test may be required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work orders
- Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 50-pounds, work within confined spaces, safely work on ladders, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture
- Willingness to work overtime in a salaried position, including weekends is required. Regular schedule may include one or two weekend days
- Maintenance technicians will be supplied with the necessary tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a maintenance technician.
- History of leadership within a maintenance department, formal position as a maintenance lead or maintenance supervisor preferred
