Piper Companies is seeking a CNC Machinist to support a leading organization in the precision manufacturing industry. The CNC Machinist role is ideal for an experienced professional with expert‑level machining skills and end‑to‑end ownership of CNC programming, setup, and operation.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:

* Provide complete ownership of CNC machining processes including programming, setup, and operation.

* Utilize Surfcam or other CAM software to generate and optimize CNC programs.

* Independently run multiple machining operations, including complex setups and tight‑tolerance work.

* Interpret engineering blueprints with strong understanding of GD T and dimensional stack‑ups.

* Apply machining fundamentals including cutting parameters, tool selection, work holding, and surface finish requirements.

* Operate conventional/manual machines to support precision component production.

* Inspect parts using precision measurement tools and maintain accurate quality documentation.

* Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, and machining efficiency.

* Collaborate with engineering and production teams on manufacturing requirements and process improvements.

Qualifications of the CNC Machinist:

* Expert‑level CNC machining experience with proven ownership of programming, setup, and operation.

* Strong proficiency with Surfcam or other CAM software for CNC programming and optimization.

* Demonstrated ability to run multiple machining operations independently, including complex and tight‑tolerance jobs.

* Strong blueprint reading skills including GD T interpretation and dimensional stack‑up awareness.

* Solid understanding of machining fundamentals: tooling, cutting parameters, work holding, materials, and finishing standards.

* Experience operating conventional/manual machining equipment.

* Ability to perform accurate inspections using precision measurement tools.

* Proven commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Compensation for the CNC Machinist includes:

* Salary range: $50,000 -$100,000

* Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
