Systems Engineer
Position Summary
Director of Sales Engineering for Celestica, the primary technical lead for the account management sales force. Responsible for both pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, developing and presenting complex solutions for new and existing customers.
This is an individual‑contributor role with no direct reports but requires seasoned leadership skills in assembling and leading cross‑functional teams across design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and technical marketing. The role involves articulating technology and product positioning, developing value propositions for business and technical users, and supporting the transition to implementation after award.
Key Requirements- Communicate professionally and consultatively in written responses, presentations, proposals and reports.
- Be organized, analytical, and capable of overcoming sales challenges through creative and collaborative approaches.
- Work independently with a minimum of supervision in a dynamic team environment.
- Communicate effectively with members of other teams, departments and customers, especially technical and engineering teams.
- Understand key stages in solution development for complex electronic manufacturing (EVT, DVT, PVT, production ramp).
- Understand complex test and development activities for PCBA, node and rack level integration.
- Experience with AI/ML applications in enterprise and edge deployments is a plus.
- Experience with relevant standards, organizations and consortiums is a plus.
- Overnight travel within North America (Canada, USA, Mexico) – 25% to 40% depending on location.
- International (overseas) travel – approximately 2 to 3 trips per year.
- 7 to 12 years of industry experience, with 7+ years in Cloud Datacenter and Enterprise Datacenter Solutions covering networking, server, storage, node and rack level integration.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Industry‑recognized certifications are a plus.
$150,000 – $208,000 USD per year.
