We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our expanding manufacturing team in Santa Clara. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and inspections to ensure the quality of our hardware products and the efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Essential Duties:

As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

* Conducting functional electrical and optical tests on semiconductor products in compliance with documented procedures.

* Conducting visual inspections of semiconductor die, wafers, and modules in accordance with documented procedures.

* Performing assembly operations in accordance with documented procedures.

* Updating manufacturing execution systems as parts move through processing.

* Maintaining inventory of required materials/consumables and placing orders for replacements as needed.

* Logging data and recording observations during process execution.

* Creating and maintaining procedural documents during and after training.

* Preparing products for shipment, receiving products from vendors and contract manufacturers.

* Adhering to safety, ESD, and clean room procedures.

* Working with small material using tweezers, vacuum wands, etc.

Required Skills:

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and experience:

* Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to stay focused.

* Comfort with technical operation of equipment in accordance with written instructions.

* Ability to read, understand, and follow technical directions, such as instrument manuals or assembly instructions.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficiency with common computer applications, such as spreadsheets and document editors.

* Ability to assemble mechanical parts.

* Ability to maintain a well-organized work environment.

* Ability to occasionally move equipment, up to 40 lbs, between racks, benches, carts, etc.

Preferred

Skills:

The following skills and experience are preferred but not required:

* Prior experience working as a Test Technician.

* Prior experience working in a production environment and with production/test equipment.

This is an on-site position, and operators must work within the Electronics Lab, the Laser Lab, and our Class 1000 clean room. Ayar Labs maintains strict COVID safety policies that meet or exceed requirements posted by local government health offices.

Pay range: $35-$38/hour
