Role Description
We are seeking a computer equipment room technician to help various tasks in the Harmonic San Jose LIFT computer lab. The is a Part-time position.
LocationThis position will be based in San Jose, CA
What you will be doing:Assist in Lab environment improvement such as Coax cables, Fiber optics, Cat 6 wiring.
Prepare equipment for shipping.
Assist in equipment inventory and accounting.
Collaborate with remote team on equipment testing and configuration.
Collaborate with LIFT onsite engineer on troubleshooting issues.
What you should have:Ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs. with assistance of a team member.
Comfortable working on their feet, bending and climbing up/down 4’ platform ladders.
Basic computer equipment knowledge. With exposure to platforms such as Ubuntu and CLI access.
Able to follow computer lab safety protocols and procedures.
Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Experience in CATV Cable Modem Operations
Experience in Racking equipment in 19" 45 RU Racks
Experience in Optical configurations.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $20-$22 per hour. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
