Job Description & How to Apply Below

Westwood Design, Inc. is a well-established custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company serving the San Francisco Bay Area. For years, we've built our reputation on quality craftsmanship, precision, and exceptional customer service—and we're looking for someone who shares those same values.

This is much more than a drafting position. You'll play a key role in coordinating projects from design through production by preparing shop drawings, generating cut lists, coordinating purchasing, collaborating with vendors, and supporting our production team to ensure projects move efficiently from concept to completion.

If you're looking for a long-term opportunity where your experience will make a meaningful impact and your contributions will be valued, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Create detailed production-ready cabinet shop drawings using cabinetry design software.
  • Interpret architectural plans, field measurements, and project specifications.
  • Prepare accurate production documentation, cut lists, and material lists.
  • Order project-specific materials and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, shop personnel, installers, and vendors throughout each project.
  • Review drawings and production documentation for accuracy before manufacturing.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and production efficiency.
  • Support projects from initial design through final production.
Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of custom cabinetry, production, and manufacturing.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience using professional cabinetry design software.
  • Strong understanding of custom cabinetry construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience preparing cut lists, material lists, and production documentation.
  • Experience ordering project materials and coordinating with vendors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with office staff, vendors, and production personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in custom residential cabinetry and architectural millwork.
  • Experience supporting projects from design through production.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and contribute to a collaborative team.
Why Join Westwood Design?

At Westwood Design, you'll become part of a company that values craftsmanship, accountability, teamwork, and long-term relationships.

We offer:
  • Competitive compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications
  • Long-term career opportunity with room for professional growth
  • Opportunity to work on unique custom cabinetry and millwork projects
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Direct involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Paid time off
What Success Looks Like...
  • Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Enjoys solving design and production challenges.
  • Communicates professionally with project managers, vendors, and production teams.
  • Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Wants to build a long-term career with an established custom cabinetry company.

If you're looking for a long-term opportunity where your experience will make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
