Manufacturing Technician 3 (Swing Shift)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Technician 3 to join our team on the swing shift. The role involves integrating subassemblies and components into complex systems, preparing them for functional testing, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety, safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
- Follow work instructions to integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems for functional testing.
- Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Use precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, height standards, and unique electronic data gathering tools as prescribed in work instructions.
- Disassemble and pack systems in preparation for shipment and delivery to customers.
- Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting of complex systems.
- Ability to work second shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
- Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales, and marketing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- eAn Associate's degree in technical engineering or experience in Technical Field Service is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is preferred.
- Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
Work Environment
The position operates on a second shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing. Employees must be capable of using standard hand tools and standard office equipment. The work involves assembling and manufacturing complex systems, including vacuum-based equipment, electrical, mechanical, and control boxes.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
