Machine Operator I (Swing Shift)
The Machine Operator I performs advanced manufacturing operations related to metal processing and stripping processes on a swing shift schedule. This role ensures that metal products are cut, cleaned, processed, and documented accurately, safely, and in full compliance with work order instructions and quality standards while supporting a smooth and efficient production flow.
Responsibilities:
- Cut metal materials according to work order instructions, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and specifications.
- Clean metals using dip or conveyor processes, following established procedures and timelines.
- Perform operations within designated stripping areas in accordance with process guidelines and safety standards.
- Cut and bake metal components and perform resist touch-up as required to meet production and quality requirements.
- Move products to the next operation with complete and accurate documentation, including travelers and in-process inspection sheets that are properly signed and dated.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed prior to submitting products for quality assurance inspection.
- Verify that products meet specifications through in-process checks and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
- Maintain accuracy, legibility, and completeness of all production documentation to support traceability and process control.
- Clean and change production chemicals according to specifications and established schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating equipment, including proper use of safeguards and adherence to facility safety rules.
- Support overall production flow by coordinating tasks, communicating issues, and minimizing downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safe operations.
Essential
Skills:
- Hands-on experience in production operations and general production work in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in machine operation and machine operating tasks related to metal processing.
- Ability to cut, clean, and process metal materials according to detailed work order instructions.
- Experience working with stripping processes and related metal finishing operations.
- Skill in performing in-process checks to verify that products meet specifications.
- Ability to complete production documentation accurately, including travelers and in-process inspection sheets.
- Experience with chemical handling in a production environment, including cleaning and changing production chemicals according to specifications.
- Strong commitment to following safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in both manual tasks and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively on a swing shift schedule in a fast-paced production setting.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
