Apera is hiring on behalf of a well known, exciting aerospace organisation who are looking to hire several Flight Test Instrumentation Technicians.
You will work closely with engineers and peer technicians to support the assembly, integration, and testing of Electrical Wiring and Interconnect Systems (EWIS).
This will be a 6 month contract with potential conversions or scope for extensions up to 12 months Responsibilities- Build and route wiring harnesses from detailed schematics and work instructions
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical wiring issues on the shop floor, performing root-cause analysis and quick-turn repairs or modifications
- Set up and maintain specialized tooling, jigs, and fixtures for harness routing while following strict aerospace safety protocols (including ESD precautions).
- Wire harness schematics, continuity checks, data acquisition testing,
- Crimping, soldering, connector terminations, routing
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
