PCB Lab Technician

Our entire team is very aggressive and we are constantly looking to grow our business. We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Overnight PCB LAB Tech Cross Section to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cross-section analysis of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to identify and resolve any manufacturing defects. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCB cross-sectioning, sample preparation, and microscopy, as well as a strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cross-section analysis of PCBs using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Prepare PCB samples for cross-section analysis, including cutting, grinding, polishing, and mounting
• Perform microscopy and other analytical tests on cross-sectioned samples to identify defects and evaluate manufacturing processes
• Document and communicate findings to the engineering team, including recommendations for process improvements
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and properly maintained
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and standards
• Experience with microscopy and other analytical techniques for material characterization
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as microtomes, polishers, and mounting presses
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IPC standards is a plus
