About the RoleHelp us tell the story of the success of our students and the impact of our program!
You'll experience the incredible collaboration of our staff, volunteers, and community supporters providing critical academic assistance to students throughout Santa Clara County. Photographers are needed to capture the spirit of our work, the stories of our center, and the progress of our students. The photos you take will represent the history of our 30-year program.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Extremely organized and excellent time management skills
- Candidates must be legally able to work in the United States of America
- Experience taking pictures and should have own equipment
- Excellent skills working with school-age children
- Ability to work with people from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Time Commitment:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Complete an online application
- Pass a background check (no cost)
- Submit a Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
- Attend a 1-hour orientation
This is a volunteer position.
About the CompanyB.O.O.K (Building Our Own Kids) Academy is a free community service provided through the Maranatha Outreach Center nonprofit in San Jose, California. The B.O.O.K. Academy after school program offers literacy, enrichment, and STEM activities to encourage a love of learning. We provide a positive, safe, and quiet environment for students in grades K—12 to excel in their academic pursuits.
