Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

Compensation: $190,000 per year

Nexus HR is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a reputable pain management specialty clinic in San Mateo, CA. The ideal candidate must have a current California Nurse Practitioner License and an established experience in pain management.

• Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
• Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.
• Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit-specific needs.
• Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
• Treat a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders.
• Perform trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.
• Read X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.
• Document patient care services on the day of service.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• At least 3 years of experience in pain management or any relevant specialties.
• Experience with workers’ comp patients is highly preferred.
• Preference towards procedures is a plus.
• Graduate from an approved Nurse Practitioner Program and be certified by the appropriate credentialing body.
• Minimum one year of experience as an NP/FNP.
• One year of experience in pain management is preferred.
• Active DEA license without restrictions.
• Able to work in San Mateo, CA.
