What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides recovery‑focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. The role involves safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Shifts Available
  • Full‑Time 1.0 | PM Shift: 3:00 pm–11:30 pm | Sunday through Thursday

Expected starting wage range is $37.41 – $46.23. Shift differentials for hourly staff: 6% for PM Shift, 10% for Overnight Shift. Weekend Shift differentials: 5% for Weekend AM Shift, 11% for Weekend PM Shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight Shift.

Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) /Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands‑on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post‑offer physical examination, 2‑step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.

The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT is a 15‑bed, voluntary crisis residential treatment center on Santa Clara County's Muriel Wright behavioral health campus in San Jose, California. The CRT is co‑located on the same campus as the Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) program. The program was created as an alternative to and diversion from Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS), acute psychiatric hospitalization, and incarceration.

The CRT will serve a co‑ed population with 90% male and 10% female census predicted; all referrals will be persons with justice‑involved mental health status. The average length of stay for this program is 14‑21 days. The Muriel Wright Recovery Center CRT program is under contract with Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services Department.
