Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours

Contract Duration: 27 Weeks

Registered Nurse required for a correctional facility in Crescent City, CA. Contract is a 27‑week travel contract beginning 5/25/2026 ending 11/29/2026. Shift types include Wednesday‑Sunday evenings and rotating day/evening coverage, with 40 hours per week.

• Assess and monitor patient condition with compassion and clinical accuracy
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Use de‑escalation and crisis‑intervention techniques in behavioral health situations
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Educate patients and family members on care plans, medications, and safety measures
• Participate actively in orientation and unit‑based quality improvement initiatives

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in California or compact RN with California authorization
• Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) certification is a plus or as required for dual‑role coverage
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience or comfort working in correctional or secure healthcare settings is highly desirable
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient‑focused approach to care
