Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) - PICC Nurse
This is a per diem role, with a minimum commitment of only four scheduled shifts per month! PICC line insertion experience required.
As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:
- Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
- Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
- Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's
Key responsibilities include visiting patients in different customer facilities and being willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Part-time (per diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of four scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
Nurse consultant qualifications include:
- Registered nurse with current license.
- Minimum of three years' experience in acute care preferred.
- American Heart BLS certification.
- Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs.
- Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound.
- Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification.
- Possess a current and valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Must possess a smartphone.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to patient sites.
Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications. Hourly pay range: $65 - $75 USD.
