Responsible for site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of nursing program activities.
Key Responsibilities- Planned, developed, managed, updated and evaluated all aspects of the program including RN program budget, faculty and staff, clinical site liaison, curriculum development and implementation, program compliance with Board rules and regulations, site visits, student advocacy, program policies and procedures, faculty and student handbooks, supplies and equipment to meet program objectives.
- Prepared data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements: reports, proposals, self‑studies, surveys and site visits.
- Ensured that all student and faculty records on site were initiated and maintained in all phases of student academic status; worked with Human Resources to maintain required documentation of faculty and staff qualifications.
- Assisted with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
- Developed and implemented program policies and procedures.
- Organized and served on program committees.
- Oversaw admission process and orientation.
- Wrote articulation agreements with nearby colleges for transferring into Eagle Gate, Provo, and Unitek College nursing programs.
- Served as liaison between community and the college.
- Monitored quality of instruction and participated in faculty and program review, evaluation and strategic planning.
- Participated in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, orientation, and conflict resolution.
- Initiated and maintained community relationships; advocated for and marketed the programs.
- Ensured clinical site evaluation and assessments met safety and staffing requirements.
- Managed student appeals and grievances per policy.
- Provided advising support and degree‑planning assistance to potential and current students.
- Ensured students were oriented to nursing skills lab and clinical facilities before rotations.
- Confere with faculty or agency educational representatives to confirm student placement and clinical objectives.
- Ensured evaluations by students, clinical site representatives and faculty were compiled and shared with the Dean, Chief Academic Officer and Advisory Committee.
- Conducted Nursing Advisory Committee meetings and reported student performance, NCLEX licensing and job placement rates.
- Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus is located.
- Master’s or higher degree from an accredited institution with coursework in nursing, education or administration.
- Minimum of two years of administrative experience.
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre‑ or post‑licensure nursing programs.
- At least two years of direct patient‑care experience as a registered nurse or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Committed to diversity as defined by state law.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and institutions.
- Leadership style emphasizing collaboration, teamwork and facilitation.
- Ability to utilize computer‑based resources.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus.
- Experience in supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenance.
Salary range: $140,000–$180,000.
