** Position Summary*
* We are seeking an experienced
** Nurse Practitioner
** to join an Occupational Health team in
** San Jose, CA** . This role focuses on providing high-quality occupational health services, including injury case management, clinical care for work-related injuries, medical surveillance, and return-to-work support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare professional with extensive Workers' Compensation and Occupational Health experience who is committed to promoting employee health and workplace safety.

** Candidates
** must have a minimum of two (2) years of Occupational Health or Workers' Compensation experience.
** Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Manage work-related injury and illness cases from initial evaluation through return-to-work.
+ Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans for occupational injuries and illnesses.
+ Conduct telephonic and virtual triage using evidence-based protocols to determine the appropriate level of care.
+ Perform medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty evaluations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
+ Administer vaccines, vision screenings, and other occupational health assessments as needed.
+ Coordinate referrals to specialty care and collaborate with physicians and medical directors.
+ Document all patient encounters accurately using electronic health records (EHR) and occupational health management systems.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate workplace incidents and support hazard mitigation efforts.
+ Determine work-relatedness of injuries and illnesses while ensuring compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
+ Provide guidance regarding workplace restrictions, accommodations, and return-to-work planning.
+ Support occupational health initiatives designed to improve employee health, safety, and wellness.
** Required Qualifications*
* + Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active California license.
** Nurse Practitioner candidates are strongly preferred.*
* +
** Minimum of two (2) years of Occupational Health or Workers' Compensation experience (required).*
* + At least three (3) years of injury case management experience in an occupational health or clinical setting.
+ Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation regulations and processes.
+ Current BLS/CPR certification.
+ Ability to obtain Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) certification within six months of hire.
+ Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
+ Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and medical recordkeeping requirements.
+ Experience managing multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Strong computer proficiency and experience using electronic health records.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner in California.
+ Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S).
+ Master's degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Occupational Health.
+ Master's degree in Public Health (MPH).
+ Case Management Certification.
+ NIOSH-approved Spirometry Certification.
+
Experience with occupational health software such as OHM or Cority.
+ Telehealth experience.
