Job Purpose
Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set‑up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control.
Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
- Creates First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports for manufactured printed circuit boards.
- Interprets customer drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements.
- Communicates and collaborates with various other departments to gather objective evidence needed to create and submit FAIR reports.
- Works with minimal day‑to‑day supervision upon completion of company Quality and Safety training.
- Navigates internal company software and database systems to gather information.
- Accurately completes FAIR and other dimensional inspection reports.
- Interprets drawings, specifications, customer requirements.
- Works effectively with and communicates with various departments, including Front End Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, QC Inspection, and Delegated Source Inspection.
- Summarizes and communicates potential areas of non‑conformances to Quality and/or Manufacturing management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings, assembly drawings, blueprints, Bills of Material (BOM), and specifications.
- Applies foundational knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to interpret drawing callouts.
- Performs receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials.
- Documents all non‑conformances found during inspection, issues non‑conforming material reports (NCMRs), and segregates defective parts.
- Applies final QC approval (stamps, labels, stickers) only to verified, conforming products in strict adherence to company policy.
- Maintains accurate and detailed inspection logs and reports in the quality system.
- Interfaces with Production and Engineering teams to clearly communicate quality issues.
- Associate Level or Certificate in related field.
- Experience and familiarity with PCBAs.
- 4–6 years related experience in Quality including 1–3 years previous FAI experience; 1–3 years print reading experience.
- Good understanding of ISO
9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems. - Strong working knowledge of inspection methods including sampling plans and testing and inspection equipment.
- Ability to interpret product specifications.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently for the majority of the workday.
- Ability to work well as a team or with other departments when needed.
- Moderate general computer skills using MS Office products:
Word, Excel, PDF.

Salary Range (annual): $60,320 - $68,640 ($29 - $33 / hour)
Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
