About the Position

Foxconn is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure product quality across complex PCBA and system-level manufacturing processes, while serving as a key technical liaison between internal teams, suppliers and customers. You will lead data-driven investigations, drive corrective actions and hold partners accountable for meeting quality standards. A major focus of this position is ensuring flawless quality execution during New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, partnering with engineering and operations teams to validate manufacturability, compliance and scale-up readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supplier quality management across component and material supply chain, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements
  • Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and audit activities (system, process, and product audits) to ensure supplier capability and readiness for production
  • Own incoming quality control (IQC) process including inspection criteria definition, defect analysis, and non-conforming material disposition (MRB)
  • Drive supplier corrective action process (8D / CAPA), including containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification
  • Support real-time production issue containment for supplier-related quality problems impacting SMT/PCBA manufacturing lines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SMT, PE, QE, Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, and PM) to resolve quality issues and ensure build stability
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, defect rate, audit score, delivery quality) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including supplier readiness, first article inspection (FAI), and risk mitigation for new materials
  • Analyze defect trends and drive preventive actions to reduce recurring supplier issues and improve process capability
  • Ensure vendors comply with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality system documentation and compliance/safety
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits with proper traceability and documentation readiness
  • Act as key escalation point for supplier quality issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution across stakeholders
  • Drive Supplier Quality Score Matrix
  • Act as first-line escalation for supplier-related and material-related quality issues impacting production output
  • Support line-side containment activities including defect identification, segregation, quarantine, and WIP control
  • Coordinate suppliers for fast resolution of incoming material or component issues affecting production
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with expertise in yield, test and defect data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of SMT, PIH, test processes, and RMA repair.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic theory, digital/analog circuitry and PC system architecture.
  • Expertise in applying IPC-A-610D (acceptability of electronic assemblies) and J-STD-001 (JSPEC) soldering standards for complex PCBA and system assembly.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation in handling escalations and supporting client deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in NPI quality management, including ramp-to-mass production transitions.
  • Experience in silicon manufacturing and testing environments.
  • Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Professional certifications (Six Sigma, Lean, CQE, etc.).
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
