- Reproduce partner-reported and test-driving issues on partner benches, Google reference hardware, and Google vehicles.
- Execute full regression testing and feature-specific validation for Android Automotive platforms.
- Perform stationary testing on infotainment head units using lab benches and stationary vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle testing and road testing based on Google-defined validation procedures.
- Create detailed bug reports, test reports, and perform preliminary root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain test plans, validation plans, and test execution documentation.
- Track testing progress and report results through Google-powered dashboards.
- Flash and update vehicle software according to Google documentation and release guidelines.
- Evaluate and review test cases executed by both self and other Android Automotive team members.
- Maintain locale-specific test cases (language, regional settings, local equipment, etc.).
- Maintain OEM-specific test cases for Google Automotive Services (GAS) pre-release validation.
- Support infotainment validation across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve production-quality issues.
