Supplier Quality Engineer II
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of components and materials sourced from our global supplier base. The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem solver, effective communicator, and skilled collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Partner with suppliers to ensure components meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and business requirements
- Execute supplier qualification activities, including process audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by driving supplier readiness, process validation, and component approval
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for supplier-related issues, implementing long-term solutions
- Monitor supplier performance using data-driven metrics; drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost. Present data every 5 weeks during Failure Review Board (FRB)
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and changes for manufacturability and supplier impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Participate in Commodity teams to express quality focus
- Support incoming inspection processes and develop appropriate inspection/test strategies
- Maintain technical documentation including FAI reports, and process control plans
- 2+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or similar discipline
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, stamping, die casting, PCB Manufacturing, CCA, or electro‑mechanical assembly
- Experience with quality tools: control plans, SPC, root cause analysis, etc.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems (as applicable)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management abilities
- Ability to periodically travel domestically as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
- Background in NPI or product development environments
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
- Lean/Six Sigma training
- Hands‑on experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience with SAP ERP systems and/or Siemens Teamcenter PLM systems

The annual base salary range for this position is $77K - $117. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
