Laboratory Technician I (Contract – 12‑month, W2)

Contract, W2 (US Citizen or Green Card Holder only)

7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (1st Shift, 40 hours/week)

The Laboratory Technician I will support the R&D group—including Systems Engineering, Reagent Development, Genomics, and select Hardware Engineering laboratories—by providing general laboratory support.

• Perform laboratory maintenance across multiple labs following good laboratory practices.
• Change refrigerator chart recorder paper and monitor temperature of small refrigerators and freezers.
• Empty laboratory recycle bins and organize and stock lab supplies within labs and stockrooms.
• Maintain biohazard waste and glassware (pickup, cleaning, washing, distribution).
• Perform daily DI‑water flushes and monitor stock levels of sheath and shutdown solutions.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up lab equipment, materials, and office supplies.
• Execute additional duties and assignments as required.

• Detail‑oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and logs.
• Physical capability to lift or push 30–45 pounds.
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP procedures and quality focus.

• B.S. in Biology or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a GMP or GLP environment.
• Familiar with laboratory equipment and daily lab operations.
• Ability to work independently and maintain organization during repetitive tasks.

• 12‑month contract.
