Overview:

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Technician to join our cutting-edge research team focused on advancing energy storage technologies. This role is pivotal in bridging theoretical innovation with practical experimentation, contributing directly to the development of next-generation battery systems for electric vehicles.

The Opportunity:

As a key member of the Research team, you will take ownership of experimental execution, ensuring precision, consistency, and data integrity. You'll work in a state-of-the-art dry room and automation lab environment, supporting complex experimental campaigns and collaborating closely with scientists and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain advanced lab equipment following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure flawless execution of experiments with high standards for sample preparation and data accuracy.
  • Monitor tool performance and experimental runs using metrology tools; verify and log data meticulously.
  • Identify and report anomalies or deviations promptly, contributing to continuous process improvement.
  • Independently manage daily and weekly experimental schedules.
  • Document progress and results using Microsoft Office tools; provide timely updates to engineering teams.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between research scientists and lab operations.
  • Support lab organization, maintenance, and equipment optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an R&D or advanced manufacturing lab.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Strong commitment to safety and protocol adherence.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
    • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Experience with automated equipment in battery or cleanroom environments.
    • Willingness to learn new lab techniques and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in dry room / cleanroom conditions for extended periods.
  • Must wear full-body cleanroom attire and appropriate face coverings.
  • Ability to stand for long durations.
  • Capable of lifting 20-30 lbs occasionally.
