Mathematics Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training
About The Role
What if your expertise in advanced mathematics could directly shape how AI reasons through the world's most complex problems? We're looking for Mathematics Researchers with Masters or PhD-level training to help build and refine the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work asynchronously alongside leading AI researchers — applying deep mathematical knowledge to challenges that genuinely push the boundaries of what AI can do.

- Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and rigorous structure
- Design complex problem statements that test and improve AI reasoning across algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, and related areas
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical outputs for correctness, depth, and logical soundness
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to identify gaps in AI mathematical reasoning
- Ensure clarity, precision, and academic rigor across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace
- Holder of a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Comfortable writing and running code in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you notice when a proof doesn't hold and know exactly why
- Strong written communicator who can explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI model assessment
- Background in mathematical research, academic publishing, or technical writing
- Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary research teams
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading research labs
