Technical Sales Account Manager, IT Division

We are seeking a results-driven Technical Sales Account Managerto support the growth of our LED manufacturing business by expanding sales opportunities and strengthening relationships with key accounts. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales to identify new business opportunities, manage customer relationships, and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.

You drive demand creation and design-in activity at customer sites in close cooperation with the SSC IT business line. We rely on you to deliver the SSC value message in a persuasive and accurate manner, in order to increase our market share.

Seoul Semiconductor North America IT Sales Team is the Customer facing organization for the SSC IT division. In this key role, you will own the customer relationships and be responsible to ensure the customer’s needs are met, and SSC meets its growth ambitions.

• Develop and execute strategies to expand sales within existing and new customer accounts.
• Manage and grow key customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Manage products through their entire lifecycle until product EOL
• Provide technical product support and recommend LED solutions that meet customer application requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure successful project execution and on-time delivery.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, CRM records, market TAM/SAM analysis.
• Manage products through their entire lifecycle until product EOL
• Seek potential customers, create target lists and qualify leads through cold calling and follow-up visits.
• Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows to generate leads
• Bachelor degree in engineering, Business or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in LED for LCD Display, Backlight Unit, Light bar or flash/strobe, in technical sales or account management role
• Experience with major OEM account management (Experience in sales with Apple, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Amazon, Google, Vizio, Dell a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with different cultures
• Basic understanding of, and experience in use of LED for backlight illumination for display of TV, laptops, monitors, flash/strobe applications, etc.
• Located in San Francisco bay area
• Basic understanding of LED key optical and electrical attributes and overall manufacturing process
• Basic understanding of color coordinates, color space, color uniformity

• Willing and able to travel frequently domestically, internationally when applicable
• Weekly customer visits to local customers in US.
• Occasional travel to customers outside of region and overseas.
