Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the security guard maintains a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. The Security Guard will be tasked with patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to security incidents.

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure a visible security presence.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access or activities.
• Report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or safety hazards promptly.
• May intervene in any conflicts, verbal or physical.

• Respond to emergencies, including but not limited to medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches.
• Follow established protocols for emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.

• Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Assist with directions, information, and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, including incident reports and daily logs.
• Submit reports to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services as necessary.
• Provide support and information during investigations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position.
• Knowledge of basic security and safety procedures.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for operating surveillance equipment.
• Security Guard license/certification as required by local regulations.

• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• This role involves working in various weather conditions and may require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
• May also be required to stand or walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
