As a Security Professional – Armed Patrol in San Jose, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government. As an armed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and responsibly handle authorized weapons. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $24.39 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon — 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Tue — 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Wed — 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Thur — 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sun — 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
• Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Support access control measures and verify identification as required by site policies.

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid California Armed Security Professional License.
• Must have a valid Armed Guard Card/License.
• Must have a valid California Security Professional Guard Card.
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Must have a valid firearms permit and acknowledge firearms responsibilities.
• Must be designated as an armed security professional and be able to carry a sidearm, baton, handcuffs, and pepper spray as required by post.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participants in industry‑specific security training programs are required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
