Background Investigator
This position is responsible for conducting and ensuring the completion of background investigations for public safety positions.
Overview of
Job Duties:
- Work independently to conduct all investigations for public safety applicants and review candidate files, conduct face-to-face and phone interviews with the candidate, employers, family, friends, and neighbors, and perform file reviews at police agencies and employers.
- Write clear & concise final reports, and ensure all reports are compliant with all federal, and state consumer reporting law compliance matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management.
- Travel is required.
Requirements:
- POST Background Certification
- Excellent writing skills.
- Superior computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to administer and coordinate multiple projects, and deliver results within deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
