Background Investigator

This position is responsible for conducting and ensuring the completion of background investigations for public safety positions.

Overview of

Job Duties:

  • Work independently to conduct all investigations for public safety applicants and review candidate files, conduct face-to-face and phone interviews with the candidate, employers, family, friends, and neighbors, and perform file reviews at police agencies and employers.
  • Write clear & concise final reports, and ensure all reports are compliant with all federal, and state consumer reporting law compliance matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management.
  • Travel is required.

Requirements:

  • POST Background Certification
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Superior computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to administer and coordinate multiple projects, and deliver results within deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
