As a Security Officer Patrol Relief Guard in San Jose, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer serving a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with professional communication and service. • Sun: 12:0 AM – 08:00 AM

• Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directional questions and general assistance, and help support orderly operations during high‑traffic periods and/or special events.
• Communicate with supervisors, site representatives, and/or first responders regarding security‑related issues, operational concerns, and incidents requiring follow‑up.

• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
