As a Security Officer Unarmed Property Rounds in San Jose, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security‑related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Job Schedule:
- Mon 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Tue 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Wed 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Thu 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter access points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity to help support authorized entry, protect company property, and report unusual activity involving people, equipment, and/or facilities.
- Support day-to-day operations at a technology-focused location by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and helping to address security-related concerns as they arise.
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
