Position/Titles
- Armed Security Officer for Recycling Yard
As an Armed Security Officer you will safeguard properties, deter criminal activity, and ensure safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities. The role requires vigilance, strong decision‑making, and excellent communication to handle incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for access control, deterring theft, and hourly patrols.
Shifts- Saturday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Opportunities for additional shifts
$26.00 per hour
Responsibilities- Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
- Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.
- Current BSIS compliance: 8‑hour initial training certificate and 32‑hour continuing education certificates.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate company/site vehicles safely.
- Experience working graveyard shifts.
- Required equipment: tactical vest, handcuffs, baton or OC spray.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high‑pressure situations.
- Maintain 40 hours of certified training (8‑hour initial + 32‑hour continuing education). Proof of certificates required before onboarding.
