As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Duties in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service.

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized access, and communicate observations in a professional and timely manner.
• Support retail and mall operations by assisting with crowd management, directional assistance, and incident documentation while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
