Security Officer

Career Systems Development Corporation seeks a Swing Shift Security Officer to help maintain a safe, structured learning environment at our Job Corps campus. In this student-centered role, you will patrol grounds and facilities, monitor access points and cameras, and respond to incidents in residence halls, classrooms, and common areas. You will enforce campus rules, write clear incident reports, and collaborate with staff to support student accountability and well-being.

The role requires professionalism, sound judgment, strong communication, and a commitment to CSD's mission of helping young adults gain skills and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and residence halls on swing shift
• Monitor access points, surveillance systems, and visitor activity
• Enforce campus rules, policies, and safety procedures
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and promptly
• Complete clear, accurate incident and activity reports
• Support student accountability while modeling respect and professionalism
• Coordinate with staff on student safety and behavior concerns
• Conduct safety checks of doors, windows, and restricted areas
• Assist with crowd control and event security as needed
• Report hazards, maintenance needs, and safety risks
