HVAC Service Technician - DMG North

Field Technician in the bay area to perform skilled mechanical duties in the startup, repairs, installation, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.

• On site startup technician for various manufacturers, local travel.
• Troubleshoot installation of control systems.
• Solving issues using reasoning and logic.
• Communication with individuals who installed the system.
• Programming of new control system using touchscreens and computers.
• Documentation of actions taken on the job site on service reports.
• Understanding and reading wiring diagrams during troubleshooting.
• Completing all startup documentation and sending it to be entered for warranty.
• Perform other duties and assignments.
• Maintain regular good attendance.

• Standard practices of the HVAC trade.
• Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Computer Usage:
  Basic data entry and ability to navigate the use of email, internet, word processing programs.
• Materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
• Brazing and soldering techniques.
• Health and safety regulations.
• Basic record-keeping techniques. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
  • Two years of HVAC training program.
  LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid California License.
  • Active EPA Universal Technician Certification.
  • OSHA 10.
  Compensation
